Triacastela

It's raining and cool here in O'Caberio as we ready ourselves for departure. Yuck!

Well we arrived on Triacastela after a 21 km walk through: rain, wind, dampness, mud, slippery stones, cow caca, a short period of drizzle, heavy rain and wind, wet feet, wet clothes, fog and other weather that took us with stops about 7 hours. Maidere said that in her opinion the only thing worse than today's walk would be if we all had Ebola. Well maybe not that bad but it's no fun when you walk as long as we did today in the rain.
That said what scenery we could see was stunning and the little pueblos we went through were full of stone structures that have been around for a long time.
When we arrived in Triacastela it fairly well quit raining. We checked into an alberque and got out of wet boots and clothes. Some of took a shower. We then tgave the alberque owner our dirty clothes for her to wash and then proceeded to the local bar to rehydrate.
Here are a bunch if pictures of the walk down from O'Ceberro.
This morning before we left

Wood shed.

Finally Triacastela.

In our albergue before dinner.

Truth be known we all had a wonderful day. It's great to share this experience with so many great people.

Not trying to say it rains a lot, but here is a resident's dog in a raincoat .
