Samos

We chose a different route today in order to visit the monestary in Samos.  This is one of the largest and oldest monasteries  in the western world founded in the 6th century.

It is beautiful.

It has been a very wet day and we are all soaked.  Because of that most of the group is staying in a private Albergue with a washer and dryer.  Werner and I are staying in the monestary Albergue - very simple.

The walk began and ended at bars.

The scenery was incredible.

Paul got down close to sheep on the road.

We also saw our first horroreo

Along the road, the locals tried to make clear their desires using the language of pictures.  They may have had bad experiences.

The rain is even worse this evening.  Supposed to better tomorrow  - we hope so.
