Leon Day Two

Today was a day of rest and tourism.  The cathedral is amazing with its expansive stained glass windows.  Amateur photographs do not do it justice.

Below is a statue of Mary pregnant.

Outside the church was a team of beggars working the square.  After getting money from anyone they go and put it in the group pot.

We toured the basilica also.

There is also a reconstruction of a roman encampment which was huge.  This was obviously way prior to the church's activities here.

The pharmacies here do a huge business with the pilgrims.  Here is a fancy one that any chemist would love.

We met several people again.  Werner has rejoined us to finish his Camino.

The weather has turned so Paul purchased an umbrella for the day.  It will not work on the Camino. Paul kept telling us how good it was even after the rain stopped.  Below is a picture of what we will be facing on the Camino.

We did party a bit but will be walking anyway.
