Pomplona

We left Zubiri at 7 AM today. Clear sky with a crescent moon. Up an down a bit for 24 km (7 hours) the tough part was the afternoon sun and 85 degree heat. We had the morning in mostly the shade with allot of the walk along a little forested river.
Pomplona is a city of around 200000 people however as we do in all the big cities we stay in the medieval part of the city. We found a room in a hotel on the tapa bar street.
We went out for a beer and while sitting in the plaza having our beer 8 other camino people showed up. These little gatherings are fun.
Had tapas for dinner. The Spanish do make good tapas.
My knee starting to ache a bit. Hope it calms down. No blisters on Guy or me.
Plan to be on the trail at 6:30 to beat some heat tomorrow. Will be less and less shade as the days progress.
