Frankfurt Germany for reunion

Guy and I arrived in Frankfurt yesterday afternoon from a long but uneventfull polar route flight with little to no sleep. Anyway, Werner Peipp met us outside the baggage claim and he then took us to the old center of town. It is like many old towns in Europe with beautiful buildings dating back well over 5 to 6 hundred years. And interesting note in this old town square, these beautiful old buildings were completely destroyed at the end of WW2 and have been completely restored to their original condition. A amazing amount of work and money must have been put into these and many other structures throughout Europe after the war.
After the tour we went to Werner's lovely home in Edingen and met his wife Mestiana and their two beautiful children David 10 and Sara 4. After dinner we talked for a while and retired to our room to sleep. Guy slept for a bit, I haven't and we are both awake now at two in the morning. Jet lag is so much fun. We are both looking forward to seeing more of last years camino friends later today.

Some of the buildings that were completely destroyed.
Paul, Werner and Guy
