Granon

We left Nejera at 6 this morning. We are all convinced that for a more relaxed and quiet night aunicipal alberque is not the way to go particularly one that has 90 beds.
Last night we had dinner with Megan fr Spokane. She is having feet problems which is not all that uncommon with many people. On the way back to the alberque with us older folks two young German guys she had met earlier asked her if she wanted some drinks. She left us in a second.
Kate's feet today.

28 km today in relatively cool weather except for the last hour of our walk.

We were told by one of last years group of friends (Fiona) of a church albergue to stay in in Granon. We found it and are now checked in. It's kind of like you are in a castle. Sleeping arrangements: thin mats on a hard floor of part of a 800 to 1000 year old church. We were greeted most generously.  Irtenary for tonight 6:30 get to know each other, 7 mass, 8 dinner and afterwards another get together. Then to bed for a rough night on the floor. It should be one of the highlights  of this camino. Just noticed we are not provided any blankets for tonight . All we have are sleeps sacks. Sleeping in our clothes tonight. I brought a small pillow case to stuff clothes into. Will probably use. Basic!

The terrain wea are now surrounded with is rolling hills, very few trees, and mostly wheat and grass fields.
