We left out Albergue at 7:00 AM because our incredible self control. The initial walk in the dark followed roads where we found a truck stop with a hotel and cafeteria attached. Not exactly old Spain, but we were ready and ran into people we had not seen for a while - Ed and his wife from New York. We saw them on and off all day.
We have moved into a new area of Spain - Galacia.
We are in a wetter agricultural area with lots of cows. They use the streets to move them.
We had light showers early on and it then turned sunny. The trails take a while to dry out.
Several vistas from today follow:
From my room.
Even garbage is interesting here .
The food is also changing - more seafood, especially octopus
Marlene, our Episcopal Priest, is trying to sharpen her image:
The stairs to our room are VERY efficient and I would not want to use them after drinking.
The showers are also efficient - surround yourself with the shower curtain and hope for the best.
It is hard to believe, but we only have seven walking days to arrive in Santiago - less than 200 kilometers .
